From fifteen to six: the Collective is chosen. But the challenge has only just begun.
Find out what the Chancers felt about their
time in New York and their hopes for the future in our
Q&A sessions.
First up are Duchess
and Damn Trouble. Duchess
(Paula) has firm views on how UK radio stations could do more
to back homegrown talent and warns that the bling culture is
taking over. Damn Trouble (Dwane) was blown away by the quality
of talent in the US and the amazing work ethic.
Tempa too loved
New York's energy and whole lifestyle, and particularly enjoyed
meeting Kanye West. Bronz was impressed with the speed things are
done in the US but believes UK artists are beginning to stand up
to their US counterparts. Angel J thinks that UK artists have their
own story to tell, but that you can't take away from the Americans
how hard they work. Phobea sums it up for all the Chancers when he says
'The show has helped me realise that music is definitely something I
want to pursue seriously.'
