This application is designed to let children create websites easily. It has been supplied by coolpage.com and comes with a large selection of animations, pictures and icons you might want to use on your site. It also includes a very useful section to help you 'publish' your site.
As well as the help files that are supplied as a matter of course on Cool Page, the disc contains step by step tutorials to show you the whole process of creating and publishing your site.

WebWhizz Pictures

This application has been designed specifically for the WebWhizz CD-ROM. It allows you to open any image on your computer, change its size and rotate or apply a number of effects to it. As you save the picture it will be automatically converted into a Web-friendly format and reduced in size to minimise download times. WebWhizz also comes with a full tutorial.

First Steps
In First Steps you will find a lot of useful advice about creating a school website, how to get everybody involved and suggestions for keeping your site active. There is also guidance on the security of school websites. A small proportion of this section is available on this site under Advice.

Also...
To make sure the disc runs as well as possible it includes copies of Internet Explorer 5.5, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and ScreenCam plugin.

What sort of computer do I need?
To get the full benefit of the disc we suggest your computer has at least the following specification:

PC Windows 95 or higher
133 MHz processor
32 Mb RAM
2 x CD-ROM drive or faster
Mouse
Web browser such as IE4 or higher, Netscape 4 or higher (IE5.5 is supplied on this disc)
Adobe Acrobat Reader (supplied on this disc)
Sound card (optional)
800 x 600 video card @ 256 colours (16 bit or higher preferred)

Please note there is no Mac version of this CD-ROM.
