Taster activities
You can view samples from the Roman Town CD-ROM by clicking the links below. To navigate around the town place your mouse on the picture. Holding the mouse down drag it to the left or right. To zoom in or out click on the plus and minus symbols with your mouse. You will need QuickTime installed on your computer.
Forum - The forum was the area of a Roman town in which public business was discussed and trading took place.
Wharf - Boats arrived at the wharf (the riverside) to deliver goods to the town or to trade. |
Curriculum Relevance
- Shows how ICT can use historical evidence to reconstruct, in a vivid
and accessible way, a world that has long passed.
Television Programme
The television programme shows an intrepid team of children attempting to solve an archaeological puzzle: to reconstruct Roman Norwich using ICT. At each break point of the video there is an activity designed to reinforce the video content. These activities are available on the CD-ROM which accompanies the programme.
