How can a Hoob feel brave?

Tula finds a picture in a book of a brave soldier wearing a medal. So the Hoobs wonder how a Hoob can be brave.

A Tiddlypeep says she tried to be brave when she fell over and hurt herself. But the Hoobs can't test that out, as they don't want to hurt themselves on purpose.

Then they hear a story about a brave baby elephant who tells the teacher about the elephants who are bullying him. But they can't test that out either, as they don't want to be mean to each other. Then they see some pictures of brave Peeps climbing mountains. But they are a long way from the mountains, so they can't test that idea at all. And Roma can't test it because she's scared of a mouse.

That's when the Hoobs realise that being brave has something to do with feeling scared. And the Tiddlypeeps show them that the way to feel brave is to do something difficult, even if it makes you feel a little bit scared.

You can help your child to find out about feeling brave!
