What to do:
Enjoy this activity together. Read the questions
(in bold) to your child.
Look at the pictures together. Can you
guess what the children are pretending to be? (clown, fairy,
sportsperson)
Get your child to cut out the six pieces
carefully. (This may need some adult help.)
Ask your child to match the pieces together,
to make three complete characters.
What are the children dressed up as? Were
your guesses right?
Now encourage your child to have fun creating
different combinations, by moving the pieces around. You could
also stick the pieces together on another piece of paper.
This activity helps visual skills. Interaction
with an adult helps personal and social development. Cutting and
sticking aids fine motor control, part of physical development.
