• Talk about the different expressions on these faces. Which face is happy? Which face is cross?

  • Point to the sad face. How do you think that person feels?

  • How do you feel when you are sleepy or tired? What happens to your eyes? Where is the sleepy face?

  • How do you make a cross face? Where can you see a cross face in the pictures?

  • Look in a mirror together. Talk about how your faces look. Are they happy? Sad? Cross? Tired? Something else?

  • Print out the sheet by clicking on the 'activity (printable)' button at the bottom of the activity page.

  • Draw how you look in the blank faces.

  • Talking about feelings and being aware of those of others is part of your child's personal, social and emotional development.
