Bricking It Interview

Why did you want to be a tiler?
It's a creative trade and can be financially quite rewarding.

What's the best job you've ever worked on?
The Olympic swimming pools in Australia.

What do you do?
Liaise with clients over tiling design and installation and pre-plan the work. And, of course, tile, tile tile!

What are your hours / wages like?
Most of the work is based on price or metreage rate, so the hours and wages can vary. It depends on your skill and speed to get the job completed to the highest possible standard.

What qualifications do you have?
I hold Australian wall and floor tiling certification and the same in waterproofing.

What's your advice to would-be apprentices?
Tiling can be quite a physical and challenging trade, but very rewarding to see a finished bathroom or kitchen.
