It's make or break time will the Bricking It apartment be finished on time and to standard? And who's the surprise visitor?
Watch Tara's inspectionLast day on the project and the flat is as decorated as it ever will be. Now they need to put in all the furniture that befits a £350,00+ apartment before the flat can be approved. Zac's thinking about the sign off "If we don't get it I'll be gutted". Greg's not too impressed with the task he's been given "how do you arrange flowers?"
On the final day at 11am the construction manager for the entire site arrives. This is make or break time and Andy Carson won't be afraid to tell them if he doesn't think it meets the grade. But if they do pass the inspection each of the trainees will get a share of £18,000 - £3,000 each.
While the inspection is taking place Dr Phil has arranged for them to go and do some work experience at St James Palace. Unbeknown to the trainees the person who'll be looking at their work here will be HRH Prince of Wales. To say they're surprised is an understatement!
Greg's never one to be shy, "Look at this everyone, who would have thought it? Me and Prince Charles standing shoulder to shoulder".
The trainees head back to Woolwich for the moment of truth. Will they pass Andy's final sign off? Six months ago all of them were untrained, unemployed teenagers, now their work on a third of a million pound flat is on the line
And they have made it. Andy Carson passes their work.
The thrilled trainees have the last word:
Zac: "We can sit back and say we've actually built this whole apartment".
Greg: "I'm feel like I'm not trying to turn my life around anymore, I've done it".
Laurence: "I've got what I've wanted for over two and a half years an apprenticeship".
Lauren: "Phil asked me to hand over the keys to Andy and I thought that was great".
David: "This has been our work, our baby. To hand the flat back is actually quite hard".
Hannah: "It's been a weird but great six months. I'd recommend anyone to do it "
