The Final Fixes are underway, and tension on-site mounts as everyone hurries to finish on time. Any last minute snags are put right. The tradesmen not in the flat are on stand-by, ready to come in at short notice should they be needed.
Now Dr Phil is planning daily targets. As the trainees are tired extra care needs to be taken not to slip up. If anything does go wrong action needs to be taken immediately to put it right.
As Dr Phil says, "the risks become smaller and more finite at this stage, but are no less important". The flat is tidied up and the final touches are completed. The door number is put in place.
The electricians pretty the place up, with down-lighters and switches installed. Flooring is fitted, the doors get cosmetic coatings and stainless steel door-handles are put on.
The letter box is put in and the door number is fixed. Curtains go up. The shower screen is erected, the kitchen is cleaned and the doors lined up.
The flat is ready to be a home.
