The kitchen is fitted and the heating installed...
The Work
Weeks 13 to 15
Peckish? Well now we have a kitchen and some heating...
The kitchen is installed, and other carpentry work, such as the construction of the airing cupboard starts.
The bulk of the plumbing work is nearing completion, with heating system installed, and the radiators being fitted. The radiators are covered up with protective sheeting in anticipation of the painting and decorating to come.
Any remaining electrical connections are made.
The skirting boards and Scotia rails are put in. Locks are installed in the doors. The bathroom cabinets are put in too.
The wall tiling gets underway. The natural stone tiles are checked, graded and then cut with a wet-saw. The substrate is prepared and waterproofing begins.
In theory the flat is now habitable.
