Doors, toilets and basins are fitted as connections are made and lighting switched on...
The Work
Weeks 10 to 12
Now you can really feel at home by having a shower and spending some quality time in the loo.
Second Fixes start in earnest. Connections are being made, and the flat is coming to life.
The Second Fix Plumbing is underway. Sanitary ware is installed, the toilets are fitted, and the basins and showers plumbed in.
Carpentry Second fix also gets going. This will last until Week 16. Door linings are fitted, door stops put on. The doors are prepared and hung. Holes are bored for lock and handle mechanisms. Architraves are fitted.
With the Electrical Second Fix incoming water and gas pipes are earthed, and connections are made throughout the flat including socket-tops, the fuse board, light switches, and some light fittings. Spot light junction boxes go in.
