Completion Bonus

About the Bonus | Days 1 to 60 | Days 61 to 120 | Days 121 to 200

Bricking It offers our trainees more than just hands-on training and the chance to land an apprenticeship.

Each trainee stands to take home their share of a £50,000 Completion Bonus at the end of the project. That's up to £5,000 each.

As Dr Phil explains, completion bonuses are common in the construction industry. "They're a good way of encouraging people to put the work in, especially when we're in danger of falling behind schedule."

But this bonus is not guaranteed. Our trainees are expected to behave like professionals, and follow strict rules during the project.

If the trainees break any of the rules they will be formally disciplined by Dr Phil, and money will be deducted from the completion bonus:

Our trainees' standard of work is expected to be of professional standard too, and any slip-ups, such as damaged materials or lost equipment, will be paid from the Completion Bonus.

If our trainees can't rectify their mistakes themselves professionals will be brought in to do it for them, and the cost of this work will be deducted from the bonus.
