Come and Go

Background >

Theme

Three aged figures, who have long lost 'the old days' and 'what came after', find 'little change' in their present existence. As in past schooldays, they 'just sit together as we used to, in the playground'. As each in turn is drawn inexplicably toward the eternal darkness, the appalling secret that darkens their shared human condition is whispered abroad by those left clinging to their own tenuous existence. The unspeakable shadow is articulated loudly by their silence. Humanity may only 'come and go.'
