Setting

Samuel Beckett of Film - scene from Catastrophe

The rehearsal setting is minimal: an empty theatre auditorium and a stage that is barren, bar a mid-stage black block just 18 inches high. There is little to distract attention. The stage lighting has already been set from previous rehearsals and any ‘final touches’ now will simply reflect any aesthetic adjustments of the Director’s intentions rather than reveal anything more of the nondescript setting.
