Go to http://bj.middlebury.edu/~dima/map/map.html and, once the whole of Romania is loaded, click on the delta area in the north east of the country for a really detailed map of the region. Look for:

1. As many river channels (distributaries) as you can find entering the sea
2. The place where ordinary land – river valley – becomes the delta
3. Sandbanks
4. Lagoons (lakes behind narrow sandbanks)
5. Galatzi, where the steelworks is situated
6. The main channel used by large ships
