The animation programme 'War Game' offers opportunities at Key Stages 3 and 4 and Scottish Levels E, F, SG and NQ to read for enjoyment and information as well as deepening learners' understanding of themselves and others. It also offers useful extension material for history coursework and syllabus studies involving the First World War.

The moving image text should encourage explorations of how meaning is conveyed (in a medium other than print), together with discussion and voicing of expressions of ideas and feelings, both orally and in writing.
