PSE Being Different - Aims
The four
linked programmes in the Being Different unit examine
the differing situations of sixteen children and aim to increase
an awareness, tolerance and understanding of different physical,
emotional and social backgrounds. As the programmes deal with
difficulties in a positive manner, they can also support and
enhance the confidence of children who find themselves in
similar circumstances.
Being Different is suitable for pupils age 9–13 of differing
abilities. The programmes could lead to a range of work using
discussion, creative writing, or drama and improvisation.
