Talking Heads has been developed in collaboration with Professor Kate Myers, Director of the Professional Development Unit at the University of Keele, and Professor John MacBeath, Director of the Quality in Education Centre at the University of Strathclyde. Kate Myers and John MacBeath are co-authors of Leading Learning Schools, published by Pitman in late 1999. This book has a chapter based on the interviews in the programme.
Kate Myers is co-author of The Intelligent School with Barbara MacGilchrist and Jane Reed (Paul Chapman, 1987), and No Quick Fixes: Perspectives on Schools in Difficulty with Louise Stoll (Falmer Press, 1998).
John MacBeath is co-director of a four-country study, Effective Leadership: responding to change (Paul Chapman, 1998), Schools Must Speak for Themselves: the case for school self-evaluation (Routledge, 1999), and Evaluating Quality in School Education (Routledge, forthcoming).
