There are very few sites specifically relevant to the General Strike at all, and fewer still are relevant and useful to students in secondary schools. The selection below contains some of the more useful ones. There is a wealth of material on Socialism and socialist movements on the Internet which will be useful if students are doing wider research.
The General Strike
http://www.dnai.com/~figgins/generalstrike/europe/unitedkingdom.html
This site provides a fairly detailed account of the Strike. It is part of an international project looking into general strikes around the world and across history. It is interesting but also highly diverting!
Socialist Workers Party
http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/3303/cwo.htm
This American site makes its workers’ agenda apparently obvious. It contains links to a number of other sites of similar organisations. Essentially the General Strike resource here is an article which can be downloaded. It is pretty heavyweight, high level GCSE or even teacher material.
