History – This programme can be linked to research into the artifacts of any period being studied in History – personal adornment and utensils/artifacts of the day provide an interesting starting point for personal research and lend themselves to practical activities.
Maths - Useful links with historical payment systems, modern currency etc.
Design and technology - Depending on the age and ability of the children and school resources, opportunities can be given for children to design and create jewellery at an appropriate level using increasingly challenging materials.
