People At Work

Programme Outline

Most people in Jamaica work on the land. Bananas, sugarcane, coffee and tropical fruits thrive in the tropical climate. One million tourists visit Jamaica every year, mostly Americans. Bauxite mining, the first process in the aluminium industry, employs few people but earns most money. Patterns and processes in the industries are explained. A solution to coping with bauxite waste is offered for consideration.
