Aims
To enable students to:
- consider and investigate a wide range of user needs and produce designs which are inclusive rather than exclusive
- ensure that the quality of their design solution will be suitable for intended clients and consumers
- understand how graphic techniques and CAD software can be used to model aspects of a design proposal and assist in making decisions
- understand a range of prototyping and modelling methods to explore and communicate design proposals
- recognise that the aesthetic, technological and functional qualities of a product are all important
