Before viewing
- As they watch the programme, pupils are asked to think about why James and many others believed in witches.
After viewing
- Pupils find North Berwick and Falkland in their atlases and add them to their maps.
- Pupils discuss why such an educated a man as James believed in witches.
- Pupils consider the question 'Do you think Agnes Sampson was a witch?' giving reasons for their answers.
- Pupils discuss what the cover of James' book 'Demonologie' might have looked like. They design their own book covers.
