Activities

• Collect interesting boxes to make a display. Have a set of cards, some with names of shapes (including pyramid, prism and cylinder) and some with descriptive words, like pentagonal, hexagonal and octagonal. Children match descriptive words to boxes.
• Introduce paper-folding using A4 paper. Equilateral and isosceles triangles are particularly relevant. Use the triangles to make different shapes and patterns.
