Activities
- Cut and fold paper (squares, rectangles, circles) to identify halves and quarters. For fifths and tenths use strips of 5 or 10 squares. Note: when cutting into fractions, equal parts are very important.
- Write fractions in different ways, e.g. 1/2 is ‘a half’, '1/2' or ‘one out of two equal parts’.
