CDT – create designs and working models using cams and simple pneumatic techniques.

IT research – allow children to conduct simple planned research into an area of their choice. Examples might be woodcarving tools, a specific aspect of Russian life, Russian bears, a tradition from their own culture.

Language – Russian fairy-tales, legends. Compare themes and characters with those traditional in similar stories from other cultures.

Music – encourage the children to listen to Russian music, possibly from the ballet or played on the balalaika.

RE/PSHE – respect and tolerance for the values and traditions of other cultures.

Science – simple engineering techniques, friction, movement, forces.
