Making sense of the information
Look at the list below, which gives some information about the way people lived on the land in the 1940s, 50s and 60s, and decide whether things have changed since.

Talk to an older relative or friend about their earliest memories of life in the countryside. (It doesn’t matter how old they are, but it is important that you find out in which year they were born.)
Did they live in the countryside or the town? Do they think the countryside has changed much in their lifetime?
