Emma Granger - harpist

Programme Outline

Gentle, flowing harp music is heard playing as images of a stream flowing through open moorland are shown. The focus is then on Emma playing her harp in a simple room setting. The camera observes the harp from many angles both in light and shadow and frequently focuses on Emma’s wrists, hands and fingers emphasizing the dexterity and concentration required to play this complex instrument. We see the tuning keys and watch Emma operating the foot pedals as she plays. The lasting impression is of a committed and highly accomplished musician at one with her instrument.
