Programme Outline

Port Antonio is the subject of a locality study. It is a harbour town that grew in the early days of the banana trade. A banana boat still leaves for the UK every week. The town holds a daily market for local produce and is the business centre for the northeast of the island. Local children show us around their homes and neighbourhood, interviewing a bush doctor and some market vendors.
