Programme Outline

This programme is about the dreams and ambitions of two young French footballers, Thibault and Samir. Thibault lives in an industrial area in the small town of Lens in the north of France. Samir lives in Marseille, in the south. We join Thibault at school. He is a boarder at a special football training centre. At weekends, he goes home to see his parents where we learn more about his home life. Samir also attends a football training centre. His family originally came from Algeria. The two boys meet for a big match in Marseille. We join both boys for a guided tour of the city. Thibault is staying with Samir during the visit and we now see Samir’s home and parents. The programme ends with the match between the two teams.
