The Future Oors?
Aims
Pupils will learn that:
- many Scots speakers, including prominent people in Scottish public life, are concerned to retain their Scots voice;
- a person’s own culture and language are crucial to maintaining a sense of identity in modern society;
- Scots literature is wide-ranging in topics and target audiences;
- Scots is available on the Internet and CD-ROM, like other twentieth century languages;
- it is the pupils themselves who will make decisions in the future.
