Aims

To provide:

• Excellent footage of volcanic landscapes in the humid tropics.
• An understanding of rice farming in the rural Philippines, and of the physical and social challenges to earning a living.
• Examples of the escape routes many Filipinos use to leave the land: education, city employment, and emigration.
