The Thomas Adams School is a co-educational comprehensive school situated in rural North Shropshire, catering for over 1300 students aged 11 to 18 years. The school, unusually for a state school, also has a boarding facility and accommodates over 50 international students.
The school gained specialist status in Media Arts in 2002, and has subsequently developed new media resources and a broader media arts programme that supports not only work within school and our 14 partner schools in the area, but also supports the local community, local businesses, and media and arts professionals.
Within school we offer GCSE and A level Media Studies, A level Film Studies, GNVQ Media Technology as well as a cross-curricular programme of media arts across all year groups.
Alongside of this programme we work in partnership with regional and national organisations to deliver special projects, undertaking commissions and offering training to young people, teachers and media professionals.
