Stoke Newington School is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive school in Hackney which was designated a specialist Media Arts College in 2001. It is vibrant, forward thinking and academically successful and with 56% A*-C at GCSE we regularly feature as one of the top 3% of schools in relation to others in similar circumstances.
We aim to inspire students through the development of new and creative approaches to teaching and learning and encourage their aspirations by working with them in an atmosphere of trust and respect. We try to exploit media arts technology across the curriculum making the learning experiences of our students, challenging, interesting and fun and see the development of arts projects an important part of helping us deliver our vision.
