At 17:10, all the latest footage from the fuel protest story is on the server and Naga and Victoria can access it on their monitors. Victoria is already in the cutting room| working on the story with an editor. Naga looks through the footage at her desk and identifies particularly good clips. Because she can see Victoria's script via ENPS she knows exactly the kind of shots that will be needed to illustrate the story and she messages these to Victoria.
Naga has arranged for the front pages of several of today's newspapers to be filmed, showing headlines illustrating the suggestion that media coverage has been responsible for panic buying of fuel. She goes to the graphics department to finalise details of the graphic which will feature on the video wall in the studio as a backdrop to Victoria's piece to camera.
Naga tells us that the duration of the fuel protest story has been cut from four minutes to three minutes to reflect its lesser importance in the news agenda of the day.
