New Girl returns from its mid-season break, starring indie film golden-girl Zooey Deschanel as Jess Day, a quirky, adorable woman in her late 20s. Following a bad break-up with her boyfriend, she moves in with three single guys: barman Nick, modern-day Casanova Schmidt; and Winston, an ex-professional basketball player who doesn't know what to do now his career has come to an end, but really needs to win whatever it is. Rounding out this unlikely bunch is Jessica's street-smart model friend Cece.
Jess is more comfortable in friendships with women, and isn't used to hanging with the boys, especially at home. The friends try to help Jessica learn a lot about love, life and mostly about herself, while they also learn a lot about themselves.
This single-camera comedy from Liz Meriwether ('No Strings Attached') features a young ensemble cast and takes a fresh and outrageous look at modern male/female relationships.
Max Greenfield, Lamorne Harris, Jake Johnson and Hannah Simone also star.
