Harry Hill's TV Burp bows out with 3 British Comedy Award nominations for the final series. Nominated for a record seventh year in a row, Harry Hill is up for Best Comedy Entertainment Programme, Best Male Television Comic and Best Comedy Entertainment Personality. When asked about the nominations Harry Hill says, "I am thrilled that my personality has been deemed entertaining enough to be nominated for a British Comedy Award, particularly in this, the last year of TV Burp, and when I next see it I will be certain to let it know". Harry adds "It would be the icing on the cake if it won - but no pressure."

‘Would I Lie to You' team captains, Lee Mack and David Mitchell, go head to head for the Best Male Television Comic at this year's British Comedy Awards. They are up against Sean Lock (8 Out of 10 Cats) and Harry Hill (Harry Hill's TV Burp). Lee Mack says "Me and David (Mitchell) are deeply, deeply competitive but we'll now pretend we don't mind who the winner is". But in a display of fighting talk, Lee adds "It's an honour to be in such a strong category because you've got the unfunny speccy fella, the other unfunny speccy fella, the unfunny posh boy or me so I don't know who's going to win".

Sarah Millican gets a chance to keep her crown as she's nominated again for Queen of Comedy at The British Comedy Awards. Sarah, the only female in contention, won the prestigious accolade at last year's award ceremony and she's in the running to keep her hands on the title. This is the only award voted for by the public, Sarah Millican will be battling it out with Alan Carr, David Mitchell, Graham Norton, Jack Whitehall and Lee Mack. Sarah says "I'm bloody thrilled to be nominated for both the Best Female TV comic and Queen of Comedy at this year's British Comedy Awards. After winning the Queen of Comedy title last year, I've been wearing my crown with pride and hope to keep my hands on it for 2013. Those supermarkets won't open themselves you know. "

Olivia Colman has two chances to win Best TV Comedy Actress as she's been nominated for her performances in both Rev and Twenty Twelve at The British Comedy Awards. Olivia Colman is the first person to ever have had two nominations in the same category in the history of The British Comedy Awards. This is only the third nomination that Olivia has received, previously being nominated for Best Television Comedy Actress back in 2008.

Alan Partridge returned to our screens in 2012 and rounds off the year with two nominations for Best TV Comedy Actor (Steve Coogan) and Best New Comedy Programme (Alan Partridge: Welcome to Places in My Life) at the British Comedy Award. It's been nine years since Steve Coogan, and his character Alan Partridge, have received a nomination for a British Comedy Award, when he won Top TV Comedy Actor in 2003.
