Three Gold Awards won for innovative ad break and digital partnerships

4 Sales scooped Media Week’s Sales Team of the Year Award at this year’s Media Week Awards 2015 hosted by Jack Whitehall at the Grosvenor Hotel in London last night. The coveted award follows a record number of award nominations across a range of categories.

The 4 Sales team were awarded three Gold Awards, four Silver Awards and four Bronze Awards.

The first Gold win of the night was within the Media Owner: Media Idea Large category for Channel 4’s highly collaborative and innovative ad break partnership McCafe Moments on Channel 4 which integrated McDonald’s McCafe brand with some of the key themes, stories and characters across the channel’s flagship programmes, working with OMD UK and The Outfit.

Channel 4 won the Gold Award for Atlantic Records’ Ed Sheeran Live ad break in the Media Owner: Media Idea Launch category for a standout launch of Ed Sheeran’s new album by creating the world’s first interactive music TV advert in which viewers could choose which track he played.

A Gold Award was awarded for this year’s major partnership with O2 offering 48 Hour Priority Access to Channel 4’s popular shows with O2 Priority in the Agency: Large Media Idea category.

Jonathan Allan, Sales Director at Channel 4 said: “I am very proud of how the team has worked together this year and this award is the icing on the cake of a fantastic year. It has also inspired us to do even bigger and better things for 2016.”

Channel 4’s successful Human’s marketing campaign with OMD UK saw the agency take home four Gold Awards – including the evening’s most prestigious Grand Prix Award.

  • Insight Research: Not All VOD Is The Same – Bronze
  • Media Owner: Small Media Idea: Share A Coke - Bronze
  • Media Owner: Medium Media Idea: John Lewis – Introducing Monty The Penguin – Bronze
  • Media Agency: Small Media Idea: Share A Coke - Bronze
