Channel 4 is building a substantial sports portfolio including Racing and Athletics. A major landmark in the history of sport at Channel 4 is the Paralympics which come to London on August 29th 2012. Channel 4 has won the broadcast and online rights and plans to show more coverage than ever before and to market the games with the biggest campaign in Channel 4's history.

Our ambition is to challenge perceptions of disability sport and to make household names of our British Paralympians. We want to raise the bar so high that the Paralympics will never again be a second thought. The Paralympics team are responsible for commissioning the Games coverage as well as pre Games event coverage and weekly magazine show - That Paralympic Show. But we are still looking for bold and brave programming ideas that will help further to deliver on our ambitions. Genre specific ideas should be pitched either directly to genre commissioning editors or via the Paralympics team.
