Channel 4 Online is responsible for the Channel's digital propositions including Channel4.com, Scrapbook, E4.com, Film4.com and 4oD and Interactive Editorial Propositons such as The Million Pound Drop's playalong game, Embarrassing Bodies website & apps, Foxes Live, The Snowman and The Snowdog game, and the Paralympics digital offering.
The department is part of Commissioning and reports into Jay Hunt. It is headed by Richard Davidson-Houston and includes Multiplatform Commissioning, Product Management and Online Production. There are five multiplatform commissioning editors (MPCEs) editorially answerable to the main TV genre teams, who are tasked with finding new interactive formats for Channel 4's TV schedule.
The Product Management team is responsible for the quality, user experience and performance of our core digital products: Channel4.com, E4.com, Film4.com, Scrapbook and 4oD.
The Production team creates programmes support information for 90% of titles on the core websites. They also manage profiles on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
