The Autoblinda is quite a remarkable vehicle, especially for one designed to meet so many requirements. Italian concerns covered many different terrains and environments, which all needed some form of armoured car support during World War II. The answer was a car that could be configured to run on the rail network as well as on roads whenever required.
An ingenious system of road and rail wheels was employed which proved highly successful. The turret from a light tank was also incorporated into one variant of the design creating an incredibly versatile up-gunned machine.
