The BA10 was constructed with the intention of building a quick, armoured reconnaissance vehicle, which could provide limited offensive support if necessary. The vintage appearance doesn’t do it justice, as the vehicle was actually quite a capable off-roader. Generally replaced as a frontline vehicle by the early 1940s, it was still much in evidence until the end of the war. Captured examples were used by the Germans and were redesignated the Pz BAF 203, often up-gunned with heavier armaments.
