Greyfriars ground radar. Shows the wall of the cloister and the wall of the nave? |
Greyfriars resistivity data: pink line is known building range. Shows foundations of garden paths? |
Tyler Hill: radar vertical cross-section through kiln, showing standing structure. |
Tyler Hill: magnetic survey. |
Tyler Hill: resistivity data.

Blue Boy Yard ground-penetrating radar data, 0m to 1.2m approx. The trench in Blue Boy Yard was placed over the red rectangle, this turned out to be a huge cesspit.
Blue Boy Yard ground-penetrating radar data, 1.2m to 3m approx. On the deeper radar plot pits at a greater depth can be seen as red splodges.
Tyler Hill, magnetic data. The large spike on the plot of the magnetic survey from Tyler Hill indicates the main kiln. The firing of the kiln has resulted in such a strong magnetic anomaly.
Tyler Hill, magnetic data. This shows the magnetic data from Tyler Hill in a different format. This time the kiln is visible as a black blob surrounded by a white shadow. The black and white blobs away from the kiln mark former waste dumps.
Greyfriars, resistivity data. Bricks, rubble, tree roots etc are shown in black, whereas areas of garden soil are shown as white. The clear white lines are modern park paths.
