They have just got on with their lives. For instance, Phil Harding still drinks in the same pub – he has some shares in the brewery that owns it! – and Mick Aston still goes to the same Tesco's. However, fame does impinge occasionally. When Robin Bush and his wife were at an antiques fair – she collects ceramics – he was recognised by Eric Knowles who, to Robin's delight, gave him a signed book. And Chris Gaffney was astonished to be asked for his autograph when he was making a call from a public telephone booth. Some of them find fame very disconcerting – after all, says Mick, 'We are really only ordinary people making some television!'
