Francis has two children, Katie (12) and Thomas (9).
He taught in London until 1996 before taking up a position of deputy headteacher at Coventry Bluecoat CE School. In the summer of 2000, he taught in South Africa with Link Community Development.
He's obsessed with Queens Park Rangers, Quentin Tarantino Films and Elvis Costello.
