 | Mrs Welham, as she prefers to be called, is truly of the old guard. Born in 1944, she knows what schools were like at a time when the cane ruled. Having successfully finished at grammar school she decided to join the teaching profession and has taught office practice, three different types of shorthand, typing, business and communication studies in a range of schools in London, Solihull and Cornwall over the years. She currently holds the post of head of business studies at Budehaven Community School in Cornwall.
Mrs Welham thinks going back to a 1960s school will be great fun and a challenge.
