Andrew MacTavish is a retired head teacher with over 40 years' teaching experience. His most recent roles were head of John Hampden Grammar School and interregnum head at Wycombe School for Girls. Helping to re-create the atmosphere of a 1950s' state boarding school will come easily to Mr MacTavish as he attended such a school as a boarder himself.
