For viewers who had an enigma they couldn't solve, Revealing Secrets was just the ticket. The job of the research team was to unlock the mysteries that most families hold. Their searches were triggered by diaries, photographs, letters, paintings, military medals, movie footage, bits of machinery and all the other artefacts that link past centuries to the present.
