The appeal of the programme to Paul was the lifestyle: the gambling, womanising and drinking involved. Also as he is hitting 30 next year he feels that this could be his last chance to do something like this. He has been a hairdresser for ten years. He did Art A'Level and still likes to paint in a kind of pop art style. On finding love in the house he is more up for having a bit of fun however he doesn't rule anything out and says he does fall in love very easily. His real surname is Goldfinch, however he said that if he ever did anything like this, he would go by his mother's maiden name of Robinson.
