What were your expectations before going into the house?
I expected an intellectual challenge, a physical challenge and an emotional challenge, all of which I got in spades.
How well do you think you were suited to the Regency era?
Hardly at all as rules and regulations are as a red rag to a bull to me!
Did you enjoy playing the role of chaperone?
Yes yes yes. I loved the opportunity of experiencing it, but I don't enjoy bossing people about.
Which male do you think was most suitable for your charge?
Either Mr. Carrrington or Mr. Everett.
Which male did you personally think the most attractive?
Painfully obviously Mr. Fox smith. Still do actually!
What was your best time?
The ghost story night.
What was your worst time?
Being left behind with the women whilst the men had fun!
Do you have any regrets?
I should have been more outrageous.
What annoyed you most in the house?
The seating arrangements at dinner.
Do you think your experience in the house has changed you?
Sadly for those around me... No!
What did you miss from the 21st Century?
En suite bathrooms and physical freedom.
Who will you keep in touch with?
Mr Fox Smith, Mr. Carrington, Mrs. Enright, Mrs. Hammond, Miss Hopkins, and Abigail.
What are you doing now?
Writing, riding my horse side-saddle, developing a property and making bespoke and some would say hideous Xmas decorations.
What would you have liked to see happen to your Regency personae?
She should have galloped off into the sunset and lived happily ever after in a hovel with some horses and a few select gentlemen callers.
If you were to do it again what would you do differently?
I would have stood up to the less convivial member of the party more forcibly and introduced a bit more decadence.
Is there anything else interesting about your experiences?
It has made me feel really fortunate to live in this century for medical reasons as the death rate in childbirth then was so shocking, and I appreciate what the suffragettes and women's lib have subsequently done for modern women and am grateful to reap the benefits of that.
I hated smelling like a badger all the time, but I loved riding side- saddle. Personally although my maid was lovely I was very unhappy not being able to dress myself. My title gave me privileges that I had done nothing to deserve, but I was hypocrite enough to exploit them, after all you don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I am now much more interested in history and science and have had my eyes opened to so so much.
